A Knowledge Day event for the children of martyrs was held as part of the "Loyalty to Trust" project

An event dedicated to Knowledge Day was held for family members of martyrs who were admitted to higher education institutions this year, as part of the "Loyalty to Trust" ("Əmanətə Sədaqət") project—a joint initiative by "Azerlotereya" OJSC and the "Zafar" Public Union for Support to Martyrs' Families, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education. More than 30 young people who had gained admission to university gathered for a breakfast event held in Icherisheher.
Speeches were delivered at the event by Osman Karakush, Chairman of the Board of "Azerlotereya" OJSC; Sevinc Alizade, Chairwoman of the "Zafar" Public Union for Support to Martyrs' Families; and Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration.
The speakers highly commended the achievements of the young people and wished them success in their new lives as university students. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of the attention and support shown to the families of martyrs, as well as the expansion of opportunities for the education and personal development of the youth.
Subsequently, a video dedicated to the "Loyalty to Trust" project was screened. Participants wrote their wishes on a special board and took commemorative photos. Later in the day, the participants took part in a tour of Icherisheher (Old City) led by Rahib Azeri, a renowned presenter and Honored Cultural Worker. During the tour, the young people explored historic streets and sites, gaining detailed insights into architectural monuments, the history of Icherisheher, and Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage. At the conclusion of the event, gifts were presented to the students.
It is worth noting that the "Loyalty to Trust" project has been running for five years. The project aims to support the intellectual and emotional development of the children of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, expand their educational and social opportunities, and create conditions for them to spend their summer holidays in an engaging and productive manner.
Over the years, the project has encompassed 231 students. Of these, 73 have already graduated, while another 37 young people gained admission to university this year.
As part of the project, summer camps for the youth have been organized in Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Austria, and Germany. During these camps, participants visited museums and historical monuments as well as various regions, and took part in training sessions covering career planning, personal development, teamwork, and leadership. Additionally, various sports and intellectual competitions were organized for the young participants. Under the "Loyalty to Trust" project, tuition and living expenses are covered for children of martyrs studying at state higher education institutions in Turkiye, while living expenses are covered for those pursuing higher education in Azerbaijan. The project aims to support the intellectual and emotional development of the children of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, as well as to create opportunities for them to spend their summer holidays in an engaging and productive manner.
