Registration for the National Round of "AIM Congress's Startup Competition" has begun
Startups from around the world will present their projects at the International Startup Competition, which will be held as part of the traditional Annual Investment Meeting (“AIM Congress”) in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on April 7-9.
A national round (The National Pitch Competition) is being launched with the support of “AIM Congress” and the organization of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KOBİA) to select the startup that will represent Azerbaijan in the competition. The winner will represent our country at the “AIM Congress” International Startup Competition, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in April.
The requirements for startups wishing to participate in the national round are as follows:
- Must be in the "Pre-seed" or "Seed" stage;
- The team must consist of 5 people;
- The team must have at least one high-level technical specialist;
- The project to be presented must be innovative and scalable;
- The project must cover technology sector.
Startups in the following sectors can participate in the national round:
- Deep technology (DeepTech)
- Green technology (Greentech)
- Metaverse
- Retail and e-commerce (RetailTech&E-commerce)
- Cybersecurity
- Mobility
- Augmented and virtual reality (AR&VR)
- Health technology (HealthTech)
The startup that will represent our country in Abu Dhabi will be selected by a professional jury formed by KOBİA.
The cost of airfare (round trip for one person) and accommodation (for April 6-9) for the winner of the national tour to participate in the "AIM Congress" will be covered. The winning startup will also be promoted on the social media accounts of "AIM Congress", will have free access to the event venue, and will be provided with a stand to present the startup to investors at the International Startup Competition.
The deadline for applications is March 10, 2025, 11:59 p.m.
