McDonald's Azerbaijan will provide scholarships to students of Karabakh University

On June 2, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between McDonald’s Azerbaijan and the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the Karabakh Education and Partnership Forum held in Khankendi.
The memorandum was signed between Oscar Bogopolsky, General Director of McDonald’s Azerbaijan, and Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education Development Fund. The document envisages supporting a special scholarship program for students of Karabakh University.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, 25 students of Karabakh University will be awarded scholarships with the support of McDonald’s Azerbaijan. The total amount of scholarships is 50,000 manats per academic year. The list of students will be compiled by the university and submitted to the Education Development Fund.
One of the main points of the signed memorandum is the application of a special discount in McDonald’s restaurants for students of higher education institutions within the framework of the StudentPlus project.
This initiative reflects McDonald’s Azerbaijan’s efforts to support social projects in the field of education and the development of future generations. The company considers investments in education and well-being of students as an integral part of its corporate social responsibility strategy.
It should be noted that the Karabakh Education and Partnership Forum was attended by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, Special Representative of the President in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly regions Elchin Yusubov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Karabakh Revival Foundation Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education Development Fund Elnur Nasibov, Rector of Karabakh University Shahin Bayramov, representatives of state institutions, private sector and the university’s faculty and staff.
