COP29 hosts event on social entrepreneurship as catalyst for sustainable development

An event titled "Empowering Change: Social Entrepreneurship as a Catalyst for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility" was held in Baku today in collaboration with Education Hub Impakt.

The event, hosted by the State Support Agency for NGOs in the COP29 Green Zone, convened representatives from social entrepreneurship organizations, corporate responsibility sectors, and sustainable development groups to deliberate on innovative strategies for tackling climate and social issues through business practices.

The session began with a presentation by Education Hub expert Samir Aliyev on building a social entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Following this, several key speakers took the stage, including MP Vugar Bayramov, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan Gulnara Aslanbeyli, representative of the investment fund Caucasus Ventures Rashad Aliyev, and Head of the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) charity Gwendolyn Burchell.

The event, moderated by Education Hub Programme Consultant Saida Gurbanova, concluded with an engaging Q&A session focused on social entrepreneurship as a means to achieve positive and sustainable change. The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public, private, and civil sectors to foster a sustainable and socially responsible future.
