A walk was organized for a group of martyrs' children under the motto "I am a hero's child"

On May 25, 2025, a trip to Baku was organized by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations and "Vətən Naminə" Public Union for Support to Martyr Families for a group of martyrs' children from Guba, Khachmaz, Davachi, and Shabran regions.

It was reported that the event, held on June 1 - "International Children's Day", was held under the motto "I am a hero's child".

Children visited the "Yanardagh" State Historical-Cultural and Nature Reserve. After familiarizing themselves with the reserve, the "Azerbaijan Cultural Heritage Support to Crafts and Creative Industry" Public Union organized master classes on painting and pottery for children.

The children of the martyrs also visited the “Surakhani” ship-museum of the “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC. The guides provided information about the halls of the world’s first tanker-museum and demonstrated exhibits related to shipping. Various ship operations were also performed using game manipulators. An entertainment program was organized for children on deck, and a festive table was served by the “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC.

Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to NGOs, Aygun Aliyeva, said that children of martyrs are not the children of a single family, but the children of all Azerbaijan, the legacy of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the integrity, freedom and sovereignty of our Motherland.

Tunzala Abdulalimova, Chairwoman of the “Vətən Naminə” Public Union for Support to Martyr Families, noted that organizing such an excursion program in Baku for the children of martyrs from the regions has great moral value. Family members of the martyred heroes - Miqdad Abdulalimov, Sadig Mammadov, Umud Khanjalov, Tapdig Khalafov, Surkhay Mehdiyev, Rahim Mikayilov, Elnur Pirseyidov, Agil Malikov, Sabuhi Aliyev, Sarvan Shahbazov, Taleh Babayev, Tural Seyidov, Ruslan Bayramov, Tural Agjabeyov, Choban Nurmatov, and Sanan Zamanov - participated in the visit.

In the end, the children of the proud heroes of the victorious country released doves into the sky, wishing a safe, prosperous, and happy future for children all over the world.

The visit concluded with the presentation of holiday gifts.
