A Graduation Day event for the members of "SOCAR Volunteers" group who have completed their activities and a competition were held with the participation of volunteers

A competition was held at the Head Office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to contribute to development of knowledge and skills of young people.

The "Upstream", "Midstream", "Downstream", and "Green" teams, consisting of SOCAR volunteers, competed in the competition. The teams demonstrated both their creative potential and field knowledge with their presentations.

The "Upstream" team won the competition.

On that day, a Graduation Day event was organized for the members of "SOCAR Volunteers" group which had completed their activities.

It should be noted that the main goal of "SOCAR Volunteers" group, established under "SOCAR Media" Public Union on September 20, 2022, is to support the personal development of our youth, contribute to their formation as useful citizens to society, and further expand the volunteer movement in our country.

Every year on September 20, which is marked by the signing of the "Contract of the Century", new members of "SOCAR Volunteers" group are introduced. Last year, 100 members were symbolically admitted to the group on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev. This year, 100 new members were also selected as SOCAR volunteers.

SOCAR's Executive Director for Communications Aygun Huseynova, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov, Deputy Executive Director of the Youth Foundation Yusif Valiyev, and Chairman of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan Vugar Aliyev delivered speeches at the Graduation Day event. The speeches noted that a new page in the energy history of Azerbaijan was opened with the signing of the "Contract of the Century" with the initiative and participation of national leader Heydar Aliyev. At the same time, the state care shown to young people in our country and the work done to ensure their active participation in the development of society were discussed. In this regard, important role of the volunteer movement, which has become widespread in our country with the support of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in development of youth was emphasized.

Afterwards, a video clip reflecting the annual activities of SOCAR Volunteers was shown, and certificates and awards were presented to the graduating volunteers. At the end, a family photo was taken.
