"YAŞAT" Foundation's summer school in London has ended

The fourth “YAŞAT” summer school, organized by the “YAŞAT” Foundation, sponsored by bp, and held in partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, has ended.
According to the Public Relations Department of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the summer school, which covered July 19-August 2, was held at University College London.
The main goal is to improve the worldview, language skills and abilities of the children of martyrs, ensure their active participation in cultural exchange, support them in spending their time effectively, and make new acquaintances and friendships.
During the program, participants attended 3-hour English lessons daily.
At the end, students were presented with certificates of completion of the program.
In the last week of the summer school, an excursion to the city of Canterbury was organized for the participants. In addition, they visited Buckingham Palace, St. James's Park, the Horse Guards Parade Ground, where the famous Changing of the Guard of the Royal Cavalry Guards takes place, as well as the Palace of Westminster, where the British Parliament is located, in order to get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of London.
As part of the program, the young people participated in a cruise on the Thames River, and also visited Borough Market, one of the oldest and most famous food markets in London, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the places reflecting the history, architecture and daily life of the city.
The summer school of the "YAŞAT" Foundation in London included 10 children of martyrs who achieved the best results in the 9th grade final exam in our country.
