Within the framework of the "From city to village" project, 8 agricultural tours were presented
In order to expand the sales network of 22 supported farms and 8 agrotours organized for these farms within the framework of the "From city to village" project carried out with the support of "PASHA Holding", a presentation was held to tourism subjects at the Ministry of Agriculture.
A total of 90 representatives, including heads of tourism companies, guides and hoteliers, participated in the event organized jointly with the Association of Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies.
The Department of Public Relations and Information Assurance of the Ministry of Agriculture said that during the event, representatives from various segments of tourism were given detailed information about agrotours, and advertising videos made in agrotourism farms within the project were presented.
Agrotours covers Guba, Gusar, Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Gabala, Oguz, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balaken, Goychay, Kurdamir, Lankaran, Lerik, Astara areas, in total, 15 regions. In addition to the potentials of farms and the services they provide, national cuisines, guides, and cultural heritage of the regions were also reflected in the tours.
Representatives of tourism companies, appreciating the work done in the farms within the project, said that they will participate more actively in the sale of agricultural tours in the upcoming tourism season.
During the current year, it is planned to increase the number of agrotourism-oriented farms to be supported within the project and the number of agrotours to be organized to those areas.
It should be noted that the goal of the "From city to village" project is to develop agrotourism in our country, increase the employment of the population living in the regions, create an alternative sales channel for local farms, as well as create different tourism opportunities for city residents and foreign tourists.
