Winners of the scholarship competition of “AzerGold” CJSC were awarded

On February 27, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the 4th Scholarship Program competitions announced for students of higher and vocational education institutions, as well as the presentation of the textbook "Mining Topography", was held at "AzerGold" CJSC.

The event was attended by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "AzerGold" CJSC, Kenan Karimzade, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Jeyhun Karamov, Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education, as well as rectors of higher education institutions and students.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "AzerGold" CJSC, congratulated the next winners of the Scholarship Programs and wished them success in their education and future careers.

Speaking in detail about the Scholarship Programs, Zakir Ibrahimov noted that the project has been implemented since 2021 within the framework of the plan for timely attraction of resources for personnel needs determined based on the development strategy of the CJSC. It was noted that the main goal of the project, which includes students studying in the industrial and mining fields, is to further increase interest in education and develop the potential knowledge and skills of talented students in an experimental environment.

Noting that a total of 38 students in higher education and 37 students in vocational education have won scholarships within the framework of the project to date, and have been involved in industrial practice at the CJSC; Zakir Ibrahimov noted that support is also provided to those students to start their professional activities after graduation in accordance with the need for qualified personnel of the Joint Stock Company.

Considering scholarship programs as an important contribution to the educational life of students and the improvement of their knowledge and skills, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kenan Karimzadeh emphasized that such initiatives implemented by state and private business entities within the framework of corporate social responsibility activities, such as “AzerGold” CJSC, serve the goals set by our head of state regarding the development of national education.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the winning students and recommended that the students make the most of their production experience during the program and take advantage of all the opportunities provided to them to become professionally trained specialists.

Then, providing information about the book “Mining Topography” published for students studying in the vocational field, the Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education noted that the textbook was translated from Turkish into Azerbaijani and published at the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Education and with the support of “AzerGold” CJSC. He noted that the book “Mining Topography” serves to train vocational school students on modern topographic measurement and calculation types and methods in mining. It was noted that the book, printed in 200 copies, was sent to vocational education institutions located in Dashkasan and Gadabay, which are considered the main mining and mining industrial regions of our country, as well as in the city of Ganja.

Finally, the winners of the Scholarship Program competitions were presented with certificates and souvenirs.

It should be noted that for the 2024-2025 academic year, 10 students studying in the specialties of "Geology", "Mining Engineering", "Chemical Engineering", "Ecology" from higher education institutions, and 2 from vocational education institutions, became the winners of the "AzerGold" scholarship. Within the framework of the program, a monthly scholarship has been provided to each of the winners in order to support the social protection of students.

Within the framework of the project, it is also planned to support the students participating in the program in starting their professional activities after graduation, in accordance with the needs of the Joint Stock Company for qualified personnel.
