Unibank has joined the next tree planting campaign organized within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The bank's management and employees participated in the tree planting event held in Mushfigabad settlement today. A total of 625 Eldar pine and olive trees were planted on an area of 1 hectare by representatives of the country's banking sector.
It should be noted that the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Tree Planting Events on the Occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev" was signed on March 13, 2023 between the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Azerbaijan Banks Association, Insurers Association, Microfinance Association, Stock Market Participants Association and Fintech Association. The purpose of the memorandum is to carry out relevant work related to the planting of a total of one million trees over 10 years on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. With the participation of the memorandum partners, tree planting and establishment of an irrigation system in the area were ensured in both Absheron region and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during 2022-2024.
