The "Youth Business Workshop" project continues successfully

A meeting was held with graduates of the vocational education center, who successfully completed the “Youth Business Workshop” project and was provided with appropriate equipment.

The provision of assets to participants of the “Youth Business Workshop” project, implemented in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KOBİA), the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education, continues. 28 graduates of Gabala State Vocational Education Center successfully completed business training within the framework of the project and were provided with equipment. They will work in the production of flour products, tailoring, printing, women's beauty salons and auto electrical services. One of the graduates has already started entrepreneurial activity in the production of flour products.

Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov and Director of Gabala State Vocational Education Center Galib Nabiyev met with participants of the “Youth Business Workshop” project. At the meeting, the graduates' impressions of the project were listened to, and views were exchanged on entrepreneurial activity and future plans.

SME representatives also got acquainted with the activities of the “Gülüm” Sweet House, founded by a young person who benefited from the “Youth Business Workshop” project.

It should be noted that the “Youth Business Workshop” project was launched in 2021. The goal is to develop the business skills of young people receiving vocational education and encourage them to engage in entrepreneurial activity, ensure self-employment, support new business initiatives, and increase interest in vocational education. The project is also important in ensuring repared entry of young people into the labor market and sustainable employment. So far, 65 people from Baku, Absheron, Gabala, Agdam, Jalilabad, Tovuz, Kurdamir, Agstafa, Masalli, Ganja and Shamkir regions who have studied at vocational education schools have been provided with appropriate equipment within the framework of the project.

The SME representatives also visited a furniture and door manufacturing enterprise operating in the Tüntül village of Gabala, which has started exporting with the support of the Agency. During the visit, they exchanged views with the entrepreneurs on the role of state support in business development and expanding export opportunities.
