The “Startup and Entrepreneurship” camp of “Yay Fest 2026” has concluded

The “Startup and Entrepreneurship” camp held as part of “Yay Fest 2026,” with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the “Regional Development” Public Union, has concluded.

The camp participants first visited the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Shamakhi. The young people then headed to the camp venue, where they were introduced to the program prepared for them.

As part of the camp, meetings, various training sessions, practical sessions, and workshops were organized for young people with the participation of representatives of relevant government institutions and the private sector.

During the training sessions titled “This is your time!”, “What are innovation and startups?” and “Legal status of startups,” as well as panel discussions on “From startup to success,” “Secrets of successful entrepreneurship,” and “Business psychology,” participants received information on developing and refining ideas, the concepts of innovation and startups, how startups operate, and related legal matters. The young participants also exchanged views with experienced professionals in entrepreneurship and startups, discussing how to build a successful business, turn ideas into reality, overcome challenges, make sound decisions in entrepreneurial activities, understand psychological factors in business, and identify key factors leading to success.

During the camp, young people also met with Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and Murad Dadashov, General Director of Khazar TV and People's Artist. During the meetings, participants learned about the guests’ personal and professional experiences, received answers to their questions, and gained valuable advice regarding their future activities. At the end, Mahammad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Regional Development Public Association, expressed his gratitude to the guests for the sincere conversations and valuable insights.

Over the five days, alongside the educational program, intellectual games and other team-building activities were held to help young people spend their free time productively and strengthen team spirit and friendship. The camp participants also visited the Shamakhi Juma Mosque and “Capybara Land,” where they learned more about the region’s historical and cultural heritage and natural environment. In addition, the master classes provided an opportunity for the young people to showcase their creativity and vibrant perspectives.

“Yay Fest 2026” is being implemented with the support of the Youth Foundation, in partnership with IDEA Public Association, and jointly organized by the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Union of Student Youth Organizations, the Azerbaijan Volunteers Public Associations Union, the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni Platform, the “CAVAN” Youth Movement Public Association, the “Great Return” Youth Organization, and the “Young Volunteers” Public Association.
