The project was implemented to help people with autism to integrate into society

The project “Autism is not a disease, it is a difference” organized by TABIB, with the support of “PASHA Insurance”, “Together and Healthy” Public Union, Autism Center and “Artlife Art Gallery”, was successfully implemented.

TABIB informed about this. It was stated that the goal of the project is to help people with autism to integrate into society and instill an inclusive mindset.

As part of the corporate social responsibility project, children studying at the center of “Together and Healthy” Public Union drew pictures with the concept of “My colorful world” with the colors of their dream worlds. It is planned to permanently exhibit their drawings at the Republican Pediatric Center.

The event took place at “Kashalata Cafe”, which is the first inclusive cafe in Azerbaijan, supporting the integration of young people with neurodiversity into society.

It should be noted that autism has severe, moderate and mild degrees. This spectrum is a complex developmental disorder that manifests itself as a result of limited interests and repetitive behaviors, resulting from a lack of communication, eye contact, and social skills during the first three years of childhood due to various causes.

According to studies, approximately 1% of the world's population, or about 70 million people, are autistic.
