The NGO launches new project

“Ekoloq” public association for Environmental Protection Support has begun implementing a project titled “Initiatives to Increase Efficiency in Household Waste Management”, with financial support from the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The main objective of the project is to monitor activities carried out in the regions in the field of household waste management, assess the current situation, and prepare a report document. At the same time, it is planned to conduct extensive awareness and advocacy campaigns among citizens regarding the management and sorting of household waste.

Within the framework of the project, awareness-raising events will be held in five municipalities located in the regions. During these events, participants will be presented with seminars on the methods, reasons, and importance of proper household waste management.

The events are expected to involve 100 local citizens aged 18–50, as well as employees of state and municipal institutions. The seminars will be conducted by professional experts from the “Ekoloq” public association for Environmental Protection Support, and broad discussions will be held with participants.

Based on research materials, as well as photo and video footage collected during the monitoring process, a report document will be prepared and later presented to the public and relevant institutions.
