The first open-air library was opened in Shusha

As part of the Vaqif Poetry Days, the "Book Stop"—the first open-air library — has been inaugurated in the center of Shusha through a partnership between the Ministry of Culture, the Shusha State Reserve Administration, Azercell Telecom LLC, and Aztelekom LLC.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the project aims to promote the historical and literary heritage of Shusha, Azerbaijan's cultural capital, while expanding reading opportunities for both residents and visitors.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Orkhan Fikratoglu; the Acting Executive Director of the Shusha State Reserve Administration, Tural Novruzov; and the Director of the Corporate Communications Department of Azercell, Sona Abbasova.
The speakers noted that the "Book Stop", designed as an open-air library, will operate 24 hours a day. Residents of Shusha and visitors to the city will be able to freely access and read the books available there.
The first guest of the "Book Stop" was Vahid Aziz, a prominent representative of contemporary Azerbaijani poetry and a People's Poet of Azerbaijan. The event, moderated by Farid Huseyn, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, poet, and essayist, featured a discussion of Vahid Aziz's literary career.
Vahid Aziz recited his poems and answered questions from the audience.
