The final event of "PeşəFest-2025" was held in Baku

The final event of "PeşəFest-2025", implemented by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, was held in Baku. The event, held at "Baku Crystal Hall" with the motto "Obtain a profession, build your future!", aimed to support the professional choice of young people and students and ensure that they take the right steps towards their careers.

The event was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev, Chairperson of the Board of the State Examination Center Maleyka Abbaszadeh, Chairperson of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy Musa Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli, Chairperson of the Board of the State Employment Agency Sadig Aliyev, leaders from educational institutions, teenagers and young people.

Anar Aliyev noted that the "Professions Festival" ("Peşələr festivalı"), organized since 2022, aims to support young people in choosing the right profession and preparing for their entry into the labor market. The Minister noted that more than 160 thousand young people participated in these events and received practical information about the labor market requirements, necessary skills and career opportunities in various professions.

He noted that the strong social policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev serves to ensure the well-being of citizens, and at the same time, development of human capital is one of the main directions of this policy. He noted that our young people participating in "PeşəFest" had the opportunity to get acquainted with current trends in the labor market, communicate directly with specialists in various professions and build future career plans through this platform.

It was noted that in the first 9 months of this year, 371 thousand people were covered by active employment measures by the State Employment Agency, the work carried out in the field of increasing the competitiveness of the workforce, and more than 1,500 occupational and qualification standards were developed and made available to employers. The work on ensuring employment of residents resettled in the liberated territories was also noted, and it was stated that 6,108 of them, who were economically active, were provided with employment.

Other speakers noted the importance of choosing the right profession for young people, and that “PeşəFest” plays an important supporting role in this regard. They spoke about the importance of this interactive project in helping young people acquire practical information about the requirements of the modern labor market, necessary skills and career opportunities in current professions, and in revealing their interests and abilities.

Then, professionals made presentations in accordance with their specialties, provided information about the characteristics of the professions they represent, and gave their recommendations on choosing a profession. The festival continued with performances by musical groups and interesting quizzes held among the participants.

It should be noted that “PeşəFest-2025” project was launched in Astara last month. Later, it was held in Bilasuvar, Tovuz, Goygol, Agdam, Imishli, Agsu, Agdash, Gabala and Khachmaz regions. In total, up to 80 thousand participants participated in these events in 10 regions and the capital Baku. The festival organized educational events for 14 professions (cybersecurity, data analytics, helpdesk, 3D animator, jewelry designer, tourism organizer, carpenter, car repair mechanic, food engineer, confectioner, rescuer, barista, dental technician, and veterinarian).

Participants at the festival had the opportunity to obtain useful information about the ways to develop in these professional fields, required skills, and choice of specialization, as well as to communicate with specialists.
