The book "Azerbaijani Language in the Media" has been published with the support of Azersun Holding

The book "Azerbaijani Language in the Media" was published on the joint initiative of the Media Development Agency and the Teleradio Academy operating under the "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" CJSC, with the support of Azersun Holding.

The book was prepared on the basis of meetings held within the framework of the training program of the same name. The main goal of the publication is to develop knowledge and skills related to the norms of the Azerbaijani literary language, to contribute to the improvement of language culture in audiovisual media and the formation of a professional speech environment.

The authors of the book - Professor Nadir Mammadli, Director of the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and heads of departments of Baku State University - Doctor of Philology, Professor Gulu Maharramli, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Khatira Huseynova and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Aynur Nasirova - provided information on the purpose of preparing the publication, the most common language defects in the media, and the importance of the material as a practical source that can be used in the daily activities of journalists. The tool also includes recommendations and approaches from other linguists and media specialists who were trained within the project.

This book will be a valuable source not only for media representatives, but also for students studying journalism.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani language is one of the main areas of focus for Azersun Holding. Thus, within the framework of the WikiSun project, one of the social responsibility projects, about 5,000 articles written by company employees in their native language were placed on Wikipedia. At the same time, about 30 media representatives were trained on the topic of "Creating content in the native language using artificial intelligence tools."
