Unibank held financial literacy training for schoolchildren

Unibank organized a training session for schoolchildren dedicated to International Savings Day, October 31, as part of its financial literacy project.

The event, held with the organizational support of the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA), brought together 30 students from grades 6 and 7. Its aim was to equip children with basic knowledge and skills related to responsible financial behavior, money management, and making sound financial decisions in everyday life.

During the training, students learned about money, savings, loans, expense planning, and saving habits. Through practical examples, they explored how to allocate income, distinguish between needs and wants, monitor expenses, and develop a habit of saving.

Various games and interactive exercises were used to make the topics easier to understand. Students applied what they had learned by solving budgeting, saving, and financial decision-making scenarios in a game-based format.

As part of the training, the children also visited a Unibank branch. They learned about the bank's day-to-day operations and various banking processes. The operation of the money-counting machine was of particular interest to the students.

In connection with International Savings Day, students were also provided with educational information about the importance of saving and deposits, responsible money management, and the benefits of financial planning for the future.

At the end of the event, participants received certificates and gifts.

Recognizing that developing financial literacy from an early age plays an important role in making sound financial decisions in the future, Unibank continues to pursue educational initiatives in this area.
