Students' social responsibility and industrial cooperation projects have been awarded at ADA University

ADA University held its annual awards ceremony recognizing students’ social responsibility initiatives, industry collaboration projects, and extracurricular activities.

The Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev Award, which promotes a sense of responsible citizenship among students, reflects the University’s core values and supports student-led social initiatives. The projects addressed various segments of society, particularly focusing on improving access to education, promoting financial literacy, working with children on autism spectrum, and supporting the integration of people with disabilities into society.

This year, more than one hundred ADA students implemented innovative projects not only in the capital city of Baku but also in schools, orphanages, and public spaces across different regions of the country. Participation of descendants of the renowned philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev added special symbolic significance to the event.

At the same time, ten student clubs were specially recognized for their outstanding activity among the University’s 43 active student clubs.

In his speech at the event, the Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, emphasized the importance of young people engaging not only in academic studies but also in real societal issues. He noted that it is especially commendable for students to carry on the traditions of Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev from a young age and strive to contribute to the country through their social initiatives. The rector added that such social initiatives and close industry partnerships provide students with opportunities to learn through real-life experience, playing a major role in both their personal and professional development.

Additionally, during the event, winners of student projects implemented jointly by ADA University and PASHA Real Estate Group were awarded. The initiative aimed to provide students with practical experience by working with one of the country’s leading real estate developers.

As part of this collaboration, students from various faculties prepared proposals for a new design of an underground pedestrian passage located in the city center. A total of 36 students participated in the project, while 4 academic staff members and 6 industry experts served as mentors and guided the participants.

PASHA Real Estate Group, which considers investing in future talent one of the key directions of its mission, supports students through initiatives like this and contributes to their professional development. The winning students were awarded annual scholarships and opportunities to participate in the company’s summer internship program.
