Preparations for the national selection stage of “RobotChallenge 2026” continue in Azerbaijan with the support of Azercell

Preparations for the local stage of the International Robot Olympiad (“RobotChallenge”) to be held in Azerbaijan are continuing successfully. The project, implemented with the support of Azercell, contributes to increasing interest in innovation, technology and STEAM fields in the country. As one of the official sponsors of the national selection stage of the competition, the mobile operator promotes development of technological knowledge and skills of young people.
As part of the preparatory stage, educational events related to “RobotChallenge” were held in various public schools and private educational centers, and information sessions are planned to be organized at a number of local universities. Seminars for pupils and students, panel discussions with the participation of industry experts, and interactive trainings are also planned.
The main goal of the Olympiad is to strengthen interest in robotics and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)-oriented knowledge, to identify talented schoolchildren and ensure their participation at the international level.
A teams that show high results in the national selection stage will represent Azerbaijan in the international finals to be held in China.
It should be noted that registration for the competition is open (in online format) until February 18, 2026 for the programming direction, and until March 25, 2026 for the robotics direction.
