"OBA" markets support the education of low-income employees' children

"OBA" supermarket chain continues to support the education of its employees' children as part of its social responsibility strategy. The "Gələcəyini qur" ("Build Your Future") project, which has been implemented by the group of companies for 6 years, has created great opportunities for employee families this time as well.

Within the framework of the project, employees' children studying in the 10th grade are selected every year and are involved in a two-year vocational training program. The goal is to support the future of the children of employee families, especially to create additional opportunities for the children of employees from low-income families.

This initiative has been implemented by "OBA" supermarket chain since last year. As a result, at this stage, 4 employees' children, as well as 2 applicants from outside the group of companies, participated in the project on the basis of an application and successfully received the title of student.

It should be noted that this year alone, the company allocated a total of 30 thousand manats for the education of 6 selected students. This initiative is a clear example of the real value placed on the future of employee families, as well as low-income families, and the commitment of "OBA" markets to social responsibility.

Within the framework of the project, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "OBA" market chain, Natavan Ibrahimova, held a meeting with young people who obtained the title of student and their parents. During the meeting, she wished the students success and presented each of them with a tablet in order to support their educational path. Also, in accordance with another project, all employees' children who participate in the project and became students are provided with scholarships within the framework of a long-term project called "Educational Scholarship". According to the mentioned scholarship program, employees' children who score more than 491 points are provided with a scholarship of 100 manats per month, and employees' children who score more than 591 points are provided with a scholarship of 200 manats per month. Those who score less points are provided with a one-time scholarship.
