KOBIA SME Cluster
Commercial legal entities wishing to create an SME cluster in Azerbaijan can apply to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy to obtain a certificate.
This was stated in KOBIA's appeal to entrepreneurs.
KOBIA SME cluster - is a group of SME cluster companies and SME cluster participants that are established on the basis of location in the same or similar areas of economic activity, in a certain geographical region, share labor force, a single market and services, establish a mutual economic relationship, are connected, complement each other, and operate jointly.
Thus, for a period of seven years from the date of entry into the relevant register SME cluster company is exempted from income tax, from land and property tax for land used in SME cluster activities, and VAT for the import of machinery, technological equipment and facilities for production or processing purposes based on a confirmation document.
According to the information, applications to the institution should be submitted in written form (Address: Baku city, Narimanov district, Ziya Bunyadov avenue, 38C, 1969 block) or by e-mail (info@smb.gov.az). The necessary documents for obtaining a certificate can be obtained from the KOBIA website www.smb.gov.az.
