VI Career Fair – More than 1,500 young people were offered job and internship opportunities

On May 1, the 6th Career Fair was organized at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMIU).

The exhibition, which aims to support the training of specialists who meet the requirements of the labor market, was held with the participation of more than 90 leading enterprises and organizations with which the university cooperates, as well as globally recognized ones.

More than 800 vacancies were presented to students and graduates at the exhibition, which covered the fields of architecture, design, construction, engineering, technology, transport, finance and services. The main goal of the exhibition was to create conditions for the successful employment of knowledgeable, skilled, and professional young people with professional potential in the public and private sectors, as well as to provide an information platform about job opportunities in enterprises.

Speaking at the official part of the exhibition, AzMIU Rector Professor Gulchohra Mammadova said that this exhibition, which has already become a tradition at the university, plays an important role in shaping the future careers of students and graduates. She noted that through such exhibitions, young people get acquainted with the real demands of the labor market and gain the opportunity to directly communicate with institutions appropriate to their specialties.

Professor Gulchohra Mammadova also emphasized that the role of the university's cooperation with partner companies and organizations in the development of AzMIU is undeniable. On behalf of the university, the rector expressed deep gratitude to all partners for their contributions to this successful cooperation, expressing confidence that relations will be further strengthened and expanded in the future.

Stating that the university will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, the rector noted that the higher education institution was established at the initiative of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev: "AzMIU, always adhering to the strategic development course determined by the Great Leader, attaches special importance to the preparation of highly qualified personnel for architecture, construction, urban planning, transport, economy and other important areas of our country. The steps taken by our university in this direction, including the modernization of the material and technical base, application of international experience to the educational process and development of digital skills, serve the successful implementation of this mission."

In his speech, the Head of the Internship and Career Department, Khanlar Ganiyev, said that more than 1,400 bachelors and more than 400 master's graduates graduate from the university every year. More than 80 percent of them find employment in fields related to their specialization within the first year of completing their education. He added that the management team of more than 40 reputable companies is participating in this year's Career Fair.
