FIFA’s “Football for Schools” seminar concluded with the “Boots for All” festival

The second day of a seminar for physical education teachers, organized by AFFA with the support of FIFA’s “Football for Schools” program, took place at the Baku Olympic Stadium.

The day’s agenda began with a practical session held on the pitch. Under the guidance of FIFA representatives, participants carried out various football-related exercises, applying their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Key topics of discussion included the organization of football sessions, ensuring the active engagement of children, and the implementation of game-based learning methods.

Subsequently, during the theoretical portion of the seminar, participants exchanged views on implementing the program in schools, integrating football into the teaching process, and structuring training sessions. The sessions were designed to help teachers master the relevant methodology and apply the knowledge gained to their future work.

Following the seminar, participants joined the “Boots for All” festival—a mass-participation, recreational football event that brought together more than 120 children. Speaking at the festival's opening ceremony, legendary veteran footballer Hristo Stoichkov emphasized the importance of football in children's lives. Noting that the sport contributes to the development of values such as friendship, team spirit, and mutual respect, he encouraged the children to enjoy the game, keep learning, and pursue their dreams.

Jahangir Farajullayev, General Secretary of AFFA, also spoke at the opening ceremony; he expressed his gratitude to the FIFA officials and wished the participants a wonderful experience and success. Subsequently, the General Secretary and Leyla Khalilova-Rzazade, a member of the AFFA Executive Committee, presented commemorative gifts to the FIFA representatives.

At the conclusion of the festival, every participating child received a pair of football boots, provided by FIFA. The event wrapped up with a commemorative group photo.

It should be noted that the "FIFA Football for Schools" program—implemented through a partnership between FIFA, AFFA, and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan—aims to foster the development of football in schools, enhance the professional knowledge and skills of physical education teachers, and support the physical and social development of children.
