Communication for everyone: Learning sign language is now more convenient

The "jestdili.az" website, created jointly with "Nar", ADA University and "Karlara Destek" Public Union, has been completely updated. The first electronic sign language dictionary allows people with speech and hearing disabilities and their relatives to learn Azerbaijani sign language online at any time and for free.

In addition to the video translation of 4,000 words, the new version of the site also includes 500 examples of sentences used in everyday life. The interface of "jestdili.az" has also been improved to ensure the convenience of users. Students of the Faculty of Information Technologies of ADA University ensured that the site was enriched with a modern design, an updated search system and many other functions.

Aziz Akhundov, director of Nar's Public Relations and Corporate Communications Department, noted at "Communication for Everyone" conference that the latest innovations on "jestdili.az" website will expand the scope of this resource. "Besides being the closest mobile operator to our customers, we aim to eliminate communication limitations and support the establishment of a more inclusive society," Aziz Akhundov emphasized.

It should be noted that "jestdili.az" project was awarded the "Golden World Award" by the International Public Relations Association as the most successful social initiative. Detailed information about all social projects implemented by "Nar" can be obtained from the page nar.az/projects.
