Coca-Cola congratulates female journalists

Coca-Cola Azerbaijan met with female journalists on the eve of International Women's Day, March 8. The meeting highlighted the indispensable role of Azerbaijani women in the development of society, the importance of gender equality, and the importance of women working in media.
Rena Mammadova, General Director of Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers, who attended the event, noted that 2025 had been successfully concluded for the company, the opening of Ismayilli plant with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev, and the value that the President attached to Coca-Cola's activities in Azerbaijan.
Then, speaking about the company's support for projects aimed at increasing women's entrepreneurial opportunities, the General Director noted that women's development is an impetus for the development of both society and the economy:
"We have been operating in Azerbaijan for more than 30 years. During this time, we have supported numerous projects aimed at developing women's entrepreneurial skills. In particular, our female journalists have supported us in covering these projects and reaching more people. I believe that in the future, we will often see the name "Coca-Cola" in the media with its support for projects aimed at developing women."
At the meeting, company representatives also provided information about the role of women in "Coca-Cola Azerbaijan" and the career opportunities created. It was noted that starting in 2023, the company was awarded the prestigious "Equal Salary Certificate" for maintaining a fair and equal pay policy for all employees.
At the meeting, Narmin Mammadli, a participant in the “AIM-W” project implemented with the support of “Coca-Cola Azerbaijan”, presented her success story regarding the creation of her own brand “Selin Cosmetics” with the knowledge and skills she gained within the project.
It should be noted that to date, “Coca-Cola Azerbaijan” has successfully collaborated with partners such as the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, United Nations Development Program, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and ASAN Volunteers organization, increasing the economic activity of more than 5,000 women.
“Coca-Cola” is a global beverage company that sells its products in more than 200 countries and its goal is to refresh and make a difference to consumers around the world. The company began its activities in Azerbaijan in 1994 with the establishment of “Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers” as part of “Coca-Cola İçecek”, an international beverage production company that is part of the Turkish Anadolu Group and operates with 36 production facilities in 12 countries. The company has invested more than USD 3 million in social and CSR projects.
