"BAT Azerbaijan" and "EcoHub" carried out an ecological cleaning campaign in Goradil area

A coastal clean-up campaign was organized in Goradil area in partnership with the Representative Office of British American Tobacco Exports B.V. in the Republic of Azerbaijan and “EcoHub” Environmental Initiatives Support Public Association.

In the campaign aimed at supporting environmental protection, more than 450 kilograms of waste were collected and removed from the area with the active participation of "BAT Azerbaijan" employees. The event served to create a cleaner and healthier environment on the Caspian Sea coast, as well as to increase environmental responsibility among the public.

For many years, BAT has identified sustainability as one of the main directions of its corporate strategy.

Back in 2002, the company published its first social report, laying the foundation for responsible business practices that guide its activities to this day. In Azerbaijan, BAT also attaches special importance to promoting environmental values. The company's "Vuse" brand was the first e-cigarette brand in the country to introduce a recycling program for consumers, allowing users to responsibly hand over their devices for disposal.

As demonstrated by the campaign, BAT is reaffirming its long-term commitment to sustainability in order to build "A Better Tomorrow™" in Azerbaijan and beyond.
