Created by the United Nations Women Agency (UN Women) and the UN Global Compact, the WEPs are a set of global principles that support the economic and social empowerment of women, promotion of equal opportunities in business life, and formation of an inclusive corporate environment.
Unicapital’s joining the WEPs is another indication of the importance the company attaches to corporate social responsibility and the creation of equal opportunities for employees.
Unicapital’s Director Elmira Garibova shared her thoughts on the topic:
“As Unicapital, we believe that equal opportunities are the basis of sustainable success. By joining the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), we reaffirm our commitment to developing an inclusive corporate culture that enables every employee to realize their potential and contribute to long-term sustainable development.”
It should be noted that currently 50% of Unicapital employees are women. The share of women in middle and top management reaches 66%. These indicators indicate that women are actively participating at various levels of the company, including in decision-making processes.
