Bank Respublika organized a press tour for journalists on the occasion of National Press Day

150 years have passed since the publication of “Əkinçi” newspaper, considered the cornerstone of the Azerbaijani National Press. True to tradition, Bank Respublika organized another press tour for well-known media representatives of the country on this significant day. As part of the event, journalists visited Shamakhi and Goychay regions.

The press tour began with a visit to the grave of Hasan bey Zardabi, a prominent intellectual, educator and publicist who laid the foundation of the Azerbaijani press. Journalists paid tribute to the memory of the great educator by laying flowers in front of his grave.

As part of the two-day press tour, media representatives first visited a social enterprise established in Shamakhi as part of the “Support for the Social Development of Single Mothers” project with the financial support of Bank Respublika. Journalists got acquainted with the working conditions of women working here and supported their initiatives.

The next stop on the tour was Goychay region. Here, participants visited orchards, one of the local businesses that Bank Respublika has long-term support for. They were presented in detail with the process of harvesting, sorting and packaging fruits grown on the farm.

As part of the press tour, excursions to Shamakhi Safari Park and Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory were also organized for media representatives to make their leisure time more interesting.
