Azersun Holding, which places special emphasis on the national and moral values of the country, has once again supported the organization of the “National Folk Games” Festival, an event aimed at promoting national heritage, preserving folk games, and passing them on to future generations.
The project was implemented with the organization of the “Regional Development” Public Union and the support of the Baku City Executive Authority. Within the framework of the event, traditional Azerbaijani folk games such as Chilama, Dəyirman (Mill Game), Fincan-Fincan, İç-Çöl, as well as Bənövşə, Gözbağlıcı (Blindfold Game), Qodu-Qodu, and Hand-Over-Hand were played. A national dance masterclass and various other sports activities were also held.
Young artists showcased their works in three separate art corners.
The project is part of the “Integrative Education Through Extracurricular Activities” initiative announced by the Ministry of Science and Education, which aims to develop the creative, social, and cultural skills of students and educators, promote national and moral values through extracurricular activities, and create an interactive, practice-oriented educational environment. A total of eight schools—two from each of the cities of Baku, Aghdam, Khankendi, and Mingachevir—participated in the project.
It should be noted that Azersun Holding, which regularly implements corporate social responsibility projects, has declared the support of the Azerbaijani language as a priority direction for 2026 and is carrying out various competitions and initiatives in this area.
