"AzerGold" CJSC and Media Development Agency organized another training and media tour for journalists

The next training and media tour for journalists was organized by "AzerGold" CJSC with the support of Media Development Agency within the framework of the project "Increasing awareness of media representatives in the mining sector".

In accordance with the Joint Stock Company's Communication Strategy for 2024-2026, the event, which took place on the eve of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, was attended by more than 30 journalists working in television, newspapers and online media.

On the first day of the event, theoretical trainings were held in Ganja by specialists of the state-owned company on the topics of geological exploration, production, processing, organization of sales of precious metals, labor protection, as well as environment, communication, corporate social responsibility. During the trainings, organized in an interactive format, discussions were held around the mentioned directions, and questions from media representatives were answered.

On the second day of the visit, participants first got acquainted with the conditions created at Ganja Autism Center, which operates in Ganja city on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the support of "AzerGold" CJSC, and with the organization of "Birge ve Saglam" Public Union. Journalists visually observed the rehabilitation process for individual development of children with autism spectrum disorders. Then, they got acquainted with the modular building of the secondary school named after Salmikhan Isgandarov, built in Gushchu settlement, Dashkasan region, on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the support of "AzerGold" CJSC, as well as a Book kiosk put into operation in the center of Gushchu village.

The visit continued with a media tour organized by "AzerGold" CJSC to the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (ÇİRES) and "Chovdar" gold mine, located in Chovdar village, Dashkasan region. The journalists were introduced to the environmental standards and requirements at Chovdar gold mine, the exploitation work carried out on the basis of modern technologies, the processing of precious metals at ÇIRES, and the waste management process.

Also, within the framework of the project, test tasks were carried out before and after the training in order to measure the level of awareness of journalists about the mining sector.

At the end, certificates and souvenirs were presented to the media representatives.
