Azerbaijani schoolchildren win three bronze medals at IOI 2026

Azerbaijani schoolchildren won three bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026).

According to the Institute of Education, Azerbaijani students representing the country at the competition, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from August 9 to 16, achieved successful results.

Hasan Valiyev, an 11th-grade student at Secondary School No. 157; Akbar Ahmadov, a 10th-grade student at the Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Lyceum; and Ahmad Gambarli, an 11th-grade student at the Baku Turkish Anatolian High School, were awarded bronze medals.

The preparation process for international informatics olympiads is carried out through cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Education, the Institute of Education, and Azercell Telecom LLC.
