Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited successfully continues to implement social initiatives in Gadabay

Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as AIMC), which is actively engaged in mining activities in Gadabay region, successfully continues to implement social initiatives to support the socio-economic development of local communities.
During the 10 months of 2025 (January-October), AIMC implemented a total of 21 social projects of various scales in the areas by organizing work with local communities, supporting the improvement of the social well-being of the local population, contributing to the development of education, healthcare, sports and infrastructure improvement.
It should be noted that AIMC is the operator of R.V. Investment Group Services LLC (the Company), which operates in Azerbaijan under the agreement on exploration, development and production sharing of a number of prospective gold, copper and polymetallic ore deposits located in Gadabay, Karabakh and East Zangezur and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republics, and directly implements activities in these areas.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the law approved by President Ilham Aliyev on June 21, 2024, the authority to represent the state under the production sharing agreement has been entrusted to "AzerGold" CJSC from June 21, 2024.
According to the terms of the agreement, "AzerGold" CJSC provides support to the Company in the areas of efficient organization of activities, ensuring mutual cooperation with state agencies in the implementation of mining and ore operations, geological exploration, production, production activities, environmental protection, as well as organization of work with local communities and corporate social responsibility.
As a result of the direct support of "AzerGold", serious results have been achieved within the framework of the mentioned areas of activity in a short period of time.
During the reporting period, AIMC carried out major repair and restoration works of the two-story school building and other auxiliary buildings located in the yard of Soyudlu village secondary school in Gadabay region and construction of a library for the school, in order to support the development of educational infrastructure in remote settlements.
In order to improve the daily living conditions and agricultural activities of the local population in the villages of Soyudlu and Garadagh, work has been carried out to repair and restore the village roads with a total length of 18.5 kilometers.
Compaction, surface stripping and smoothing works were carried out on dirt roads. Based on the appeal of local residents, reinforcement and surface leveling works were carried out with filling material on the approximately four-kilometer-long pasture roads of Soyudlu village of Gadabay region, which were damaged by flood waters.
On June 1 - International Children's Day, an eye examination campaign was organized in Gadabay region, mainly for young children from low-income and socially needy families, in order to promote a culture of preventive examination and a healthy lifestyle among children.
During the examinations, various diagnoses were detected and appropriate treatment courses were prescribed.
During the 10 months of the current year, within the framework of significant days, more than 2,000 food parcels were distributed to 500 families in order to support the social well-being of the low-income population living in the villages of Ariqdam, Soyudlu, Garadagh, Kharkhar and Gumlu residential area, including Gadabay city, in order to support the social well-being of the population.
To increase the social activity of local youth and promote a healthy lifestyle, AIMC organized sports and intellectual competitions in the region.
Also, sponsorship support was provided for the participation of young people living in Gadabay region in various local and international sports tournaments.
Attention and care for the families of heroes - martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland is a key part of AIMC's social responsibility approach.
On the occasion of Victory Day, a visit of martyr families to Shusha and Khankendi was organized, they were provided with moral support and the memory of our heroes was commemorated with deep respect.
In addition, purposeful steps were taken to strengthen effective cooperation with local communities during the past period.
Within this framework, regular meetings were organized with the population, their suggestions and problems were listened to, as well as public participation in the implementation of social initiatives was increased.
At the same time, the company systematized previous and new social projects and determined priority areas in accordance with the needs of communities.
During the past period, 433 citizen appeals were taken into action for resolution within the framework of existing legislation and authorities.
AIMC, together with local structures, continuously implements social projects aimed at development of communities in the regions where it operates.
The company forms social responsibility projects based on needs of the community and principles of sustainable development.
In the future, AIMC plans to improve social infrastructure in Gadabay region, expand support to education and healthcare sectors.
