A tree-planting campaign was held in Sheki as part of the “Heroes’ Garden” project
A tree-planting campaign was organized in Sheki as part of the “Heroes’ Garden” ("Qəhrəmanlar Bağı") project, implemented by the Red Hearts Foundation in connection with Victory Day on November 8.
The event, held with the support of PASHA Holding and Sheki City Executive Power, was attended by families of martyrs, veterans, representatives of the local community, as well as employees of Kapital Bank and the Red Hearts Foundation.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Sheki City Executive Power, Elkhan Usubov, stated that the Patriotic War—which lasted 44 days under the leadership of the President and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and resulted in the return of our occupied lands—is a part of our glorious history. He noted that the liberation of the city of Shusha—a place of great historical, cultural, and strategic importance—by our glorious Army on November 8 played a decisive role in the course and outcome of the war, and has been inscribed in our history as Victory Day.
Yusif Poladov, President of the Red Hearts Foundation, remarked in his speech that the “Heroes’ Garden” project serves as an expression of deep respect for the cherished memory of our martyrs. Through this initiative, the names of our heroes will be preserved not only in our memories but also as a living legacy that contributes to the creation of a green environment.
Families of the martyrs who attended the event expressed their gratitude to the foundation and the relevant institutions for this initiative.
As part of the campaign, Eldar pines were planted in memory of the martyrs.
