The sponsorship agreement between SOCAR Turkiye and Iğdır Football Club has been extended for another year
The sponsorship agreement between Iğdır Football Club and SOCAR Turkiye—one of the largest integrated industrial groups and leading foreign direct investors in Turkiye—has been extended for another year.
Under the new agreement, SOCAR Turkiye will continue to support the team by serving as the shirt-front sponsor for Iğdır Football Club during the 2026–2027 season.
The company stated that, in addition to contributing to the unifying power of sports, SOCAR Turkiye continues its efforts to spread the excitement of football from the east to the west of Turkiye. The company views sports not merely as a competitive arena, but as a vital tool that brings society together, inspires youth, and contributes to regional development.
The signing ceremony for the sponsorship renewal was attended by SOCAR Turkiye CEO Elchin Ibadov, Iğdır Football Club President Cantürk Alagöz, as well as executives from both SOCAR Turkiye and the club, and several players. Elchin Ibadov, CEO of SOCAR Turkiye, stated that alongside its core business operations, the company attaches great importance to projects that foster strong ties with the community. He expressed satisfaction that the sponsorship agreement is being extended for another year as the collaboration with Iğdır Football Club enters its third year.
"We believe that sports is a powerful force—especially for young people—that fosters motivation and confidence in the future. I wish the club, the players, and the entire city of Iğdır a successful new season," Elchin Ibadov emphasized.
Cantürk Alagöz, President of Iğdır Football Club, also expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of the partnership with SOCAR Turkiye into the new season. He noted that this partnership represents more than just a sponsorship arrangement; it is a significant sign of trust placed in both the club and the city. Alagöz remarked that as the club sets its sights on even greater goals, the support of strong partners who share the same values provides the team with added motivation.
