Summer camp for children of martyrs organized in Austria

The “Zafar” Martyrs’ Families Support Public Union and the Azerbaijani Society in Austria, in partnership with “Azerbaijan Airlines” (AZAL) CJSC, “Azerlotereya” OJSC, and the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, organized a “Loyalty to Trust” summer camp for students from martyred families in Salzburg and Vienna, Austria.
Twenty-two children, currently studying at local and foreign universities with high academic performance, are participating in the camp.
The first day featured the official opening ceremony held at the Azerbaijani House in Salzburg.
In her address, Sevinj Orujova, Chairperson of the “Zafar” Martyrs’ Families Support Public Union, emphasized that these annually organized camps, held within the framework of the “Loyalty to Trust” project, play a significant role in supporting the personal and professional development of the children.
Farid Azizov, head of the Azerbaijani Society in Austria, expressed pride in hosting the children of those who gave their lives for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands.
The ceremony was also attended by active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora living in Austria and Slovenia, along with representatives of the Turkish diaspora in Austria.
On the second day of the camp, participants visited Hallstatt, a settlement that forms part of the Hallstatt-Dachstein / Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site. They also toured Mirabell Palace and the banks of the Salzach River in Salzburg.
The camp will run from July 28 to August 2.
