Signing ceremony within the framework of the "Stars of Tomorrow" project

A signing ceremony for cooperation with new sponsors, along with an information session, was held as part of the “Stars of Tomorrow” (“Sabahın Ulduzları”) project, which will be jointly organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and the Baku Football Federation (BFF).

The event took place at the JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel and was attended by AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev, BFF President Tahir Suleymanov, AFFA Technical Director Edmond Claus, Azerbaijan national team head coach Aykhan Abbasov, Alpex President Sardar Salmanzade, representatives of the sponsors, and members of the media.

Participants were presented with detailed information about the “Stars of Tomorrow” tournament, which was launched in 2006 for young football players. The presentation highlighted several footballers who emerged through the tournament and later represented the Azerbaijan national team. Following the screening of a short promotional video, BFF President Tahir Suleymanov welcomed the guests and emphasized the project's mission: “Our goal in organizing this tournament is to achieve significant results. We will do everything possible to identify talented players who can make a meaningful contribution to Azerbaijani football. I would like to express my gratitude to the AFFA leadership for creating the necessary conditions and to our new partners for their support.”

AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev expressed his satisfaction with the tournament's return: “This is an important component of AFFA’s Development Strategy. Youth football is currently one of our top priorities, and the ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ tournament is a significant step in that direction. The tournament has great potential, and we hope it will eventually grow into an international competition featuring teams from abroad.”

Azerbaijan national team head coach Aykhan Abbasov noted that he had previously followed the tournament closely and had also participated in it: “This tournament helped develop not only football players but also referees. I believe projects like this will make a major contribution to the future of the Azerbaijan national team. Competitions of this kind create opportunities for more young players to develop.”

AFFA Technical Director Edmond Claus stressed the importance of investing in grassroots football: “AFFA has several important initiatives in this area. Identifying talent and organizing competitions are essential for long-term success. This tournament can become the first step in the development pathway of many young players.”

Alpex President Sardar Salmanzade also highlighted the significance of the partnership: “We are at the beginning of an important journey. We have brought together a strong team to make this project a success. We are grateful to the Sea Breeze family for joining us, and I believe this initiative will help produce many future stars for Azerbaijani football.”

The event concluded with the signing of the title sponsorship agreement between the Baku Football Federation and Alpex, followed by the official unveiling of the “Stars of Tomorrow” tournament mascot.
