“RobotChallenge Azerbaijan 2026” successfully concluded with the support of Azercell

According to the results of the competition, a total of 36 teams were among the winners

“RobotChallenge Azerbaijan 2026”, held with the support of Azercell and the partnership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has successfully concluded. The first local stage of “RobotChallenge”, one of the most prestigious robotics competitions in the world, has become an important platform contributing to the promotion of STEAM education among young people and the development of the innovation ecosystem in the country.

More than 600 participants and more than 200 teams from different regions of Azerbaijan and foreign countries competed in the competition. The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sona Abbasova, Director of the Corporate Communications Department of “Azercell Telecom” LLC, as well as industry leaders, technology experts and other official guests.

Sona Abbasova emphasized the importance of realizing the potential of young people in the fields of innovation and engineering. S. Abbasova said that Azercell will continue to support initiatives aimed at developing digital skills and shaping future technology leaders in the country.

It should be noted that the competition participants demonstrated their technical knowledge and skills in various categories and presented innovative solutions. Dynamic encounters and technological projects aroused great interest among the numerous visitors who came to the event.

According to the final results of the competition, winners were determined in 7 main and 5 subcategories. In total, 36 teams were among the prizewinners. 12 teams of them were awarded first, 12 teams second, and 12 teams third places. The innovative solutions, technical approaches, and high performance presented by the teams were specially appreciated by the jury. It should be noted that the winners of the local stage won the right to represent Azerbaijan in the international final to be held in China.
