PASHA Bank has provided support to nearly 70 entrepreneurs in Karabakh

Within the framework of cooperation with the state, PASHA Bank has provided support to nearly 70 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Karabakh and organized training programs to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The bank plans to continue contributing to the development of human capital in the region, the strengthening of local business activities, and the overall process of return.
This was stated by Zibeyda Hajiyeva, Chief Human Resources Officer at PASHA Bank, during a panel session titled "Youth in the Revival of Karabakh: Initiatives and Opportunities." The session was held as part of the "Rebuild Karabakh" exhibition, which took place during Caspian Construction Week.
She noted that, alongside state programs, the private sector also plays a crucial role in the process of returning to Karabakh. As part of PASHA Financial Holdings and a member of the PASHA Group, PASHA Bank views this process as a key aspect of its corporate citizenship responsibility.
"This process is close to the spirit and heart of each of us; it is significant, and naturally, we are present in Karabakh," said Zibeyda Hajiyeva. According to her, the activities of the "PASHA Group" in Karabakh encompass various areas. The holding continues its operations in the agricultural sector and its engagement with farmers; it is active in the hospitality sector in the region, and a "Bravo" store is currently in operation. Two insurance companies and two banks, part of "PASHA Financial Holding," are also components of this ecosystem. Notably, "PASHA Bank" is currently operating in Shusha.
Zibeyda Hajiyeva noted that one of the primary objectives of these initiatives is to support entrepreneurs in Karabakh and to develop the region's human capital and talent potential. Over time, employees working within these local entities become an integral part of the "PASHA Group’s" broader team and ecosystem.
She emphasized that "PASHA Bank"—and the group of companies as a whole—places significant importance on the development of human capital and the enhancement of employees' professional knowledge and skills, consistently investing in these areas.
"We aim to play a significant role in this process of return, and we are doing everything in our power to achieve this," the bank official stated. Zibeyda Hajiyeva pointed out that the activities being carried out in Karabakh are not limited solely to commercial and business interests; social projects also play a significant role.
She stated that, within the framework of its cooperation with Karabakh University, PASHA Bank has provided laptops and computers to students who were admitted to the university with high entrance scores.
According to the bank official, in terms of regional development, alongside social responsibility projects, the organization of various hackathons and collaboration with academic and state institutions are also of great importance.
Zibeyda Hajiyeva noted that, in partnership with the state, PASHA Bank has provided support to nearly 70 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Karabakh. As part of this program, training sessions were organized for the entrepreneurs to further develop their business and management skills.
She emphasized that working as an employee and engaging in entrepreneurial activity require different sets of skills, and both are essential for the development of Karabakh.
"Being an employee is one skill, while being an entrepreneur is another. Both are highly important in Karabakh," said Zibeyda Hajiyeva. She added that PASHA Bank will continue its participation in the revival of Karabakh and the process of return, and will exert all efforts within its capacity to contribute to the region's development.
