"Nar" CEO undergoes training on digital technologies
As part of its ongoing collaboration with the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, the mobile operator Nar organized a training session titled "The Mechanics of the Digital World: How Does the Internet Work?" for the center’s beneficiaries and participants of the "Volunteer DOST" program. Led by Nar CEO Özgür Genc, the session provided young people with a deeper understanding of how the internet functions and the capabilities offered by digital technologies. In total, nearly 100 participants attended the training.
During the session, participants learned how devices connect to a network, how data is transmitted across the internet, and how web pages are displayed on screens. Furthermore, the training covered key technological innovations that have shaped the internet, the distinction between the "web" and the "internet," and the functions of the DNS system and servers—all explained through simple, accessible examples. Conducted in an interactive format, the session encouraged participants to reflect on the subject matter and engage in discussions. Before the training session, Elnara Ansari, Director of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, introduced Özgür Genc, CEO of Nar, and other company representatives to the Center’s operations. During the visit, the guests toured the training studios, explored the facilities and activities, and observed the educational process.
Nar regards inclusivity as a core pillar of its operations and emphasizes the importance of ensuring that young people from vulnerable groups have access to digital opportunities. Through its various initiatives, the company contributes to the development of digital knowledge and skills, while expanding access to information and technology. The partnership with the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center is also aimed at helping children from vulnerable groups become more familiar with the digital world, acquire new knowledge, and broaden their opportunities for development.
