As part of the partnership between the Quality Assurance Agency for Education (TKTA) and Norm OJSC, the second stage of the assessment process for the vocational qualification “Construction Foreman” under the recognition of non-formal and informal education has been completed.
The practical examinations, held on June 8, 9, and 10, were attended by 24 craftsmen who had successfully passed the theoretical stage. During the assessment process, participants completed tasks corresponding to modules defined by the relevant occupational standards. Based on the final evaluation of a commission comprising representatives of the Quality Assurance Agency for Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Norm Masters Club, the performance of all 24 participants was deemed satisfactory.
In the next stage, the craftsmen will receive an official document granting them the right to engage in professional activity in their vocational field, in accordance with the regulations approved by Decision No. 279 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated August 5, 2020.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Norm OJSC and the Quality Assurance Agency for Education (TKTA), projects aimed at assessing the knowledge and skills of craftsmen were launched in 2024. In the first project, 21 craftsmen received official documents certifying their vocational qualifications.
By creating opportunities for the professional development of skilled craftsmen, Norm OJSC supports the enhancement of their competitiveness in the labor market, while also contributing to the improvement of professionalism and quality standards in the construction sector. The increase in the number of qualified craftsmen, in turn, helps ensure higher-quality, safer, and more reliable construction work, contributes to the development of the country's construction industry, and plays an important role in building sustainable infrastructure for society.
This project once again demonstrates that the company considers contributing to societal development through social responsibility initiatives to be an integral part of its corporate values and supports these values through initiatives that create long-term impact.
Norm OJSC is part of NEQSOL Holding, an international group of companies operating in the fields of energy, telecommunications, high technology, and construction across more than ten countries.
