In order to support inclusive education, trainings were organized in schools
The Institute of Education organized trainings and meetings for various target groups within the project called "Expansion of the network of general educational institutions with inclusive classes - III stage" implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Trainings and meetings were held with 71 commission members in 13 regions (Baku, Absheron, Guba, Shirvan, Khachmaz, Gabala, Ganja, Gazakh, Tovuz, Sheki, Imishli, Astara and Agjabadi) in order to support the activities of the psychological-medical-pedagogical commissions, which play one of the most important role in the organization of inclusive education by selecting children with disabilities for inclusive classes.
Subjects such as inclusive education and inclusiveness, the role of inclusive education, criteria for identifying students and relevant legislation were discussed with the attendees, and information about the project was given.
In addition, trainings on "Organization of training in an inclusive class" were organized with relevant school staff of general educational institutions where inclusive education is applied.
The essence and importance of inclusive education, basics of inclusiveness, medical and social approach to disability, child-oriented pedagogy, universal learning design, organization of inclusive pedagogical activity were discussed in the training sessions attended by a total of 534 people, among the school community, teachers, parents and students for effective inclusive education.
