"Change waste to gifts" festival held with the support of PASHA Bank
The “Change waste to gifts” (“Tullantıları hədiyyələrə dəyiş”) festival was successfully held once again with the support of PASHA Bank and the organization of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The main goal of the festival, organized on July 25, 2026, was to strengthen public awareness of proper waste management, promote a culture of efficient use of resources, and highlight the importance of recycling in terms of sustainable development.
Within the framework of the festival, participants handed over a total of 5,090 liters of plastic, 810 liters of glass waste, and 725 used batteries, replacing them with various gifts. The event program also included interactive master classes and educational activities for children. Participants gained practical knowledge about the impact of waste sorting and recycling on the environment.
The festival, which has been held regularly since 2024, demonstrates that proper waste management creates not only ecological but also economic value. The initiative also contributes to the formation of responsible consumption habits in society and the promotion of circular economy principles.
It should be noted that PASHA Bank, as a participant in the UN Global Compact, accepts the principles of sustainable development as an integral part of its business activities. The bank consistently works towards financing and supporting projects aimed at energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, efficient management of water resources and environmental protection.
