BP increased financing for social projects in Azerbaijan by 1.9 times in 2024

BP spent about $1.7 million on social initiatives in Azerbaijan in 2024, which is 89% more than in 2023, according to a statement by BP Azerbaijan.

"These included 22 ongoing educational initiatives, one local capacity-building and enterprise development program, four environmental initiatives, two projects promoting the country’s cultural heritage and sport, as well as 11 conferences and workshops on various themes – in total 40 projects. In 2024, BP and its co-venturers in the BP-operated joint ventures spent more than $1.5 million on social investment projects in Azerbaijan. During the year, this included 25 ongoing educational projects, three local capacity-building and enterprise development programs and one environmental initiative," BP Azerbaijan noted.
