"AzerGold" CJSC was awarded in the nomination "Best Partner of the Year 2024" in the environmental field

“AzerGold” CJSC was awarded by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (ETSN) in the nomination “Best Partner in Environmental Projects within the Framework of Corporate Social Responsibility” in 2024.
The award, presented by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, was received by Khayyam Farzaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of “AzerGold” CJSC, Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
The CJSC was awarded for its contributions to environmental protection through the “Reintroduction of Rare Plants Growing in Dashkasan Region” and “Clean Dashkasan” projects implemented in 2024.
Other business entities, organizations and non-governmental organizations that have joined initiatives aimed at nature conservation and environmental protection and supported environmental health and environmental education were also awarded in various nominations at the event.
It should be noted that “AzerGold” CJSC always keeps in mind the principles of environmental protection and social responsibility in the regions where it operates. The Joint Stock Company continued its consistent and comprehensive measures in the field of environmental protection in Dashkasan region, where it carries out production activities in 2024, which was declared the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”.
Thus, within the framework of the “Reintroduction of Rare Plants Growing in the Dashkasan Region” project implemented in 2021-2024, reproduction and reintroduction of rare, endangered plant species included in the “Red Book” of the Republic of Azerbaijan last year around the “Chovdar” gold mine was successfully completed.
Within the framework of the “Clean Dashkasan” ecological project, a total of about 10 hectares of land was cleared of plastic, polyethylene, metal, glass, paper, cardboard and other waste, and new waste containers and trash cans were placed on various streets of the city of Dashkasan.
In addition, in order to support the feeding and protection of birds that have difficulty finding food during the winter months, ecologically clean bird feeders were installed in the forest area surrounding the Chovdar gold mine, meeting their seasonal food needs, and tree planting and landscaping work continued in the area.
