“AzerGold” CJSC has launched the implementation of another social initiative covering the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region, where the company operates.
Within the framework of the “Support for the economic development of family members of martyrs and veterans” project, 15 women from Ganja city, Dashkasan, Goygol and Samukh regions were involved in intensive training programs in the profession of confectioner.
The main goal of the project is to provide care to family members of martyrs and veterans, to support their economic independence by increasing their social activity, and contribute to the establishment of an inclusive society.
Within the framework of the project, theoretical and practical training will be provided to the participants by international confectioner experts. During the intensive trainings, which will last for two months, participants, who will be provided with all necessary goods and materials and equipment, will be instilled with knowledge and skills in the relevant professional field.
After the training programs are completed, participants will take the “Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Education” exam of the Quality Assurance Agency in Education and receive the relevant professional certificate.
Also, as a result of the project, support will be provided to the participants in providing employment in the relevant field or organizing individual entrepreneurial activities through partner companies involved in the training programs.
It should be noted that vulnerable population groups have been identified as one of the main target categories within the corporate social responsibility projects of “AzerGold” CJSC, and various projects aimed at improving their social well-being are being implemented.
At the same time, additional contributions are made to increase the employment of family members of martyrs and war participants. Currently, a total of 351 employees of “AzerGold”, its subsidiaries and long-term contractor companies involved in the activities belong to the mentioned vulnerable category.
