Azerbaijani basketball player is looking for a sponsor for his club

A captain of "Guba" basketball team, Zaur Pashayev, is looking for a sponsor for his club. The 42-year-old experienced player made a statement to the press service of the regional representative about this. Zaur Pashayev said that he wants to support the team more. Currently, financing of "Guba" club is carried out by the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation. The captain emphasized that finding an additional sponsor will further expand the team's capabilities.

The basketball player noted that the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) is held at a high level. He says that there is almost no such championship in the history of the country. Pashayev put forward proposals regarding the future format of the league. In his opinion, if the ABL is increased to 10 teams and the 2nd league to 6 teams, the championship will be even more interesting. This will also increase the quality of the leagues.

Pashayev confirms that he is also actively looking for a sponsor to find additional support for the team. He says that although the Federation is doing its best, if additional funding is found, the situation will be excellent. "Guba" basketball club does not want to be left behind in the competition. The captain says that, like all teams, they also aim to become leaders in Group B.
