The "Karabakh SMEs" (“Qarabağ KOB-ları 2026”) project, implemented for the past four years by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, in cooperation with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and Development Corporation OJSC, with financial support from PASHA Holding, is continuing this year.
The project's objective is to support the development of entrepreneurial skills among family members of martyrs, war veterans, and their family members, improve their economic and social well-being, and encourage the creation of new businesses and employment opportunities in their communities.
As part of the project, 55 additional participants selected from Baku, Ganja, and the Absheron, Shamkir, and Fuzuli districts have been enrolled in the training program.
Participants have received practical training in human resources management, financial management, sales, business plan development, marketing, social media marketing, and starting a business. They will subsequently take part in vocational training programs.
In the next phase, participants will be enrolled in the State Employment Agency's self-employment program. Based on their submitted business plans, they will be provided with the necessary equipment to establish their own small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
